1. The following rules will be in effect for all entrants into the "Bass Fishing At It's Best" Open Series Tournaments. They will remain unchanged unless the safety of the contestants would be compromised. Violations of these rules could result in some form of action ranging from probation, loss of prizes or money earned, or even disqualification from any future tournaments. |

2. All Federal, State, and Local fishing and water safety rules must be followed. Coast Guard approved life vests must be worn when outboard engine is running and a working kill switch must be attached to the driver when motor is running. |

3. Each team may weigh in up to five (5) Bass - All Bass, Largemouth, Small mouth, or Spotted must be at least 14 inches or longer to be weighed. No more than 5 Bass in the live well at a time. The sixth (6th) will be used for culling. Dead fish will be weighed with a one quarter (1/4th) pound penalty assessed per dead fish. |

4. Tournament Lake will be off limits Thursday and Friday preceding the tournament. No contestant may start fishing until the official start time on Saturday. The tournament director will determine start time. |

5. Tournament is over at 3:00 p.m. - You must be in the weigh-in line by 3:15 p.m. for your fish to be weighed. |

6. No live bait. Pork rind is allowed. No trolling with outboard engine. Only one rod and reel in use at any one time. No electronic tracking device or communication device used for locating fish allowed. No hole sitting by or for contestants. |

7. No Trailering from or to tournament site without permission from tournament director. This will be done only as a safety factor. |

8. No fishing within 25 yards of another tournament contestant's boat without that boat operator's permission. All persons in boat must be a paid contestant. |

9. Contestants may register by mail. Make checks payable to Rita Cox. Mailed entries must be postmarked by the Monday preceding the tournament. 10. Entry fee will be $100.00 per boat. The Big Bass Pot is included in this fee. A membership fee of $20.00 per person is due at signup to first tournament fished. Payout will be a guaranteed 80%. Polygraph fees will be taken from this amount. |

11. All contestants are subject to a polygraph exam. Failure to submit to said exam will result in disqualification. Anyone who has failed a polygraph exam due to cheating is not eligible to fish these tournaments. |

12. Alcoholic beverages or drugs other than prescription drugs will not be consumed by contestants during the hours of tournament or until the completion of the weigh in and any polygraph exams. |

13. If a tie occurs, the money for those places affected will be combined and divided equally among the teams involved. |

14. Each team may have one substitute per year per team member. The tournament director must be notified at the time of signup that there is a sub. A substitute may be used at the championship. If original partner is unavailable, this substitute will pay the annual membership fee plus entry at the signup. |

15. All teams that have fished at least 4 of the 6 tournemts will qualify for the championship tournament. Also, any team that is in the top 15 places for team angler of the year after the 6th tournament will also have qualified. Wildcard teams will be drawn after the 6th tournament. One wildcard will be drawn for each five (5) teams qualified. Only teams that have fished in 2 or more tournaments will be considered. |

16. The team anglers of the year will be determined by points accumulated after the 6th tournament. Points will be given for pounds weighed in and each team will be given 5 points for each tournament fished. |
